MOTORSPORT MEMORIES, MAIDEN WINS

Saison 73 Motorsport, Inc. proudly presents this 16-month calendar for passionate followers of Formula 1 Grand Prix racing, those with an appreciation for its glorious history. "Maiden Wins" is a celebration of racing legends of the past and features their first Grand Prix wins. Dan Gurney in his Porsche graces the cover, giving Porsche their one and only victory in Formula 1 at the 1962 French Grand Prix. A sparkling Nigel Mansell at Brands Hatch in 1985 is the first inside page. His first win was scored over arch rival Ayrton Senna, who started from pole position. Mario Andretti, the last American to win a Formula 1 race, roars to his first win at the 1971 South African Grand Prix. In what must be one of the most beautiful racing photos of all time, Jim Clark is shown at Spa, heading for a memorable first win at the 1962 Belgian Grand Prix. Ayrton Senna s splashing maiden win in the rain at the 1985 Portuguese Grand Prix is probably one of the greatest drives in Formula 1 history. Other legends in this issue are Jack Brabham, Gilles Villeneuve, Mike Hawthorn, Stirling Moss, Alain Prost, Bruce McLaren, Jackie Stewart and Graham Hill. The Maestro Juan Manuel Fangio, at Monte-Carlo in 1950, brings down the curtain for the month of December.
