Matt Neal, Robert Collard, Jonathan Adam and Tom Onslow-Cole will take on other big name stars from the world of motor sport in a charity kart race at next week’s Autosport International show at Birmingham’s NEC.
The 90-minute race, organised by the Racing4Charity organisation run by David Brabham – himself a former BTCC ace and winner last year of the world-famous Le Mans 24 Hours race as well as the American Le Mans Series – is in aid of Malaria No More UK and takes place on Friday afternoon.
The charity aims to supply all men, women and children at risk of malaria in Africa with mosquito nets by the end of the year – public can also participate in the race for a donation of £300.00 (email bill@racing4charity.com or call 07712 578263).
While Collard, Adam and Onslow-Cole are known to be dab hands at karting, it will be fascinating to watch double BTCC Champion Neal cram his lanky 6ft 6in into one of the chassis!
Other high profile names on the 20-team grid include Le Mans 24 Hours winners Allan McNish and Dindo Capello, former F1 drivers Alex Wurz and Anthony Davidson and multiple World Touring Car champion Andy priaulx. Multiple Le Mans 24 Hours winner Derek Bell will act as race director!
