DTM at the 37th ‘Ball des Sports’

Within the scope of this event, DTM will organise the official after-show party of the gala for the benefit of the ‘Deutsche Sporthilfe, German Sports Aid. Following the official part of the gala, sports, economy and politics celebrities will meet in the DTM Race Club to let the evening die away with relaxed conversations.

“We are delighted with supporting the German Sports Aid as partner of the ‘Ball des Sports’, stressed Dr Thomas Betzler, Board Member Law and Finances of DTM promoter ITR and member of the German Sports Aid’s Board of Trustees. “Thanks to the sports aid, many sportsmen have got the opportunity to extensively focus on their sports and we appreciate to get involved in this project.”

The DTM drivers attending the event: Christian Abt and Timo Scheider (both Audi) as well as Bruno Spengler and Susie Stoddart (both Mercedes-Benz). Germany’s Federal President, Horst Köhler, is going to inaugurate the evening held in favour of the German Sports Aid. Among the other VIP guests expected to attend the gala are the likes of Franz Beckenbauer, Vladimir and Vitali Klitschko, Katarina Witt, the Hockey World Championship winning national German hockey team, gymnast Fabian Hambüchen, Germany’s minister of defence, Franz-Josef Jung, the Federal Minister of Economics, Michael Glos, Germany’s former Federal President, Walter Scheel, Uschi Glas, Ronan Keating and many other former and still active sportsmen as well as economy and politics VIPs.

On Saturday from 22.45hrs, within the scope of its show ‘aktuelles sportstudio’, the German TV station ZDF will switch live to the ‘Ball des Sports’ to report about the gala.
