Geddie plots Carrera Cup GB title bid with TPR

The Scotsman, who will still only be 19-years old for the first half of the season, will step up to the pro class after winning the pro-am2 title in 2008 and the pro-am1 crown last season.

In his first full season of racing, Geddie was the rising star of the Carrera Cup GB in 2009, winning the pro-am1 category in 10 of the season's 20 races and clinching the category crown at the final weekend of the year against very strong opposition. 

Now, Geddie wants to maintain the form that took him onto the overall podium at Knockhill and Silverstone last year. "I just want to go for the overall title and make it three titles in three seasons," said the Aberdeen racer. "We don't plan to change anything from how the 2009 season ended. It's time to go and win races."

Team boss Stuart Parker believes that Geddie is ready to challenge for the overall title. "This should be Glynn's year. We've got 12 months experience of working together and there is strong continuity in the team," said Parker. Former Carrera Cup champion Barry Horne will continue to work with Geddie as part of the TPR team.

"Glynn's pace over the second half of 2009 was outstanding," said Parker. "He spends a lot of time with us in the workshop and we've got to give him the equipment we gave Tim Bridgman last year. He put a marker down last year and people forget that he's still only 19."
