The British driver, who joins Lewis Hamilton at Vodafone McLaren-Mercedes this season, admitted that he had expected a big crowd, but nothing had prepared him for the reception he was given at the show. "It's been so nice," said Button. "I've had many months to think about today and being at Autosport International as World Champion. I obviously had my expectations because I've been here before, and it's always been busy. But today was amazing, I was blown away."

Button was very much in demand signing autographs and answering a host of crowd questions throughout the day; ranging from his thoughts on having Hamilton as a team mate, to whether he'd ever been stopped for speeding.

"That's what I really like about the show," Button added. "It's a relaxed atmosphere, and the fans can get close. There's been some great questions from them, and it's amazing to see their support. Today has made me think ahead, and I really can't wait for the British Grand Prix now, and to race in front of them with the Number One on the car."

Fans will get a second chance to see Jenson when he returns to Autosport International, Europe's largest motorsport show, tomorrow for more autographs and questions.
