My Qi-Meritus.Mahara head home for the sixth and final round of the GP2 Asia season in Bahrain with revived hopes after their driver lineup of Portugal's Alvaro Parente and Italy's Marco Bonanomi showed good speed and potential in the last outing in Malaysia. Parente even earned the My Qi-Meritus.Mahara team a point after setting the fastest lap in race 2.

It may have been just one point, but the point earned by Alvaro Parente in the week’s GP2 Asia Series is certainly weight its worth in gold as My Qi Meritus.Mahara now have nine points after five rounds with only the Bahrain leg to come in two weeks time.

Portugal's Alvaro Parente and Italy's Marco Bonanomi finished in ninth and 14th places in this afternoon's 22-lap race in the GP2 Asia Series. Parente earned the My Qi-Meritus.Mahara team a point after setting the fastest lap.

Six weeks after racing in the unusual Doha night scenery at the Losail track, My Qi-Meritus.Mahara competed today at their home Malaysian circuit of Sepang.

Marco Bonanomi was the first driver from My Team Qi-Meritus.Mahara to reach Malaysia ahead of the fifth round of the GP2 Asia Season. Marco joined the launch of the racing week, the promotional event organised by QuestNet Malaysia at Amcorp Mall in Kuala Lumpur.

Racing in Bahrain is always a great experience and it's a circuit that all drivers enjoy driving. The sand blowing onto the tarmac can be a challenge for drivers as they never know how the grip levels  can change from lap to lap.
