TOSELAND CONTINUES TO IMPRESS

Despite damaging his right ankle and having to cope with different weather conditions he looked at home on the Tech 3 Yamaha and was sixth fastest on race tyres and seventh on qualifying tyres after three days of testing with all the other MotoGP riders.

The World Superbike Champion twisted his ankle when he was caught out by a cold rear tyre on Monday afternoon but to his great relief two X rays showed that nothing was broken.

"It was just my mistake on a cool tyre .With the way it let go, it completely caught me out. It caught my ankle and twisted it because it went so fast," he explained before going out and completing another 36 laps." I'm so relieved it was nothing worse than a badly twisted ankle. To have got injured now would have been a massive blow."

Toseland will join all the other MotoGP riders in a special night test at the Losail circuit in Qatar next week in preparation for the opening grand prix of the season in Qatar on March 9.
